Why Do You Need A Healthy Lymph System?
I would like to share with you an other reason why we need to train and move our bodies regularly: is our lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system is a complicated network of vessels, ducts, and nodes that moves fluid between the cells and tissues; it produces and distributes the infection-fighting and scavenging cells of the body!! It is an integral part of the immune system!
LYMPHATIC FLUID = WATER
We have 3 x’s more lymph fluid is our bodies than blood. This fluid bathes all the cells in the body and carries nutrients from the blood to the cells.
The lymphatic system is also the garbage collector of the body and the immune system. The lymph system affects every organ in the body because it serves as a primary cleansing and filtration system.
When the lymph system is functioning properly it effectively cleanses the tissues, aids in cellular repair and eliminates toxins. When our bodies are free of toxins we have: more energy, a stronger immune system, reduced inflammation in tissues, joints and organs.
When compromised or congested, our lymph nodes can swell up to 3x their normal size. When congested, it deprives the cells of oxygen and affects the body’s ability to rid itself of it own waste material…toxins. Other organs and systems that rely on the lymphatic system for waste elimination also become compromised…setting the stage for pain and disease.
This is why the importance of keeping the lymph fluids moving. By engaging in regular exercise and manipulation of the tissue, we can keep our lymphatic system active and free flowing.
