Training with Family
Here at Elite Training Center we have many families that train together. We have whole sets of families, brothers and sisters, twins, aunts, uncles etc. I want to primarily focus on the kids training together. The Kid jiu jitsu program is meant for children from 4-9 years old. That is a very important age in a child development, it is also important for developing social skills and understanding whats wrong and right. Training with family members has its benefits but also has some negatives to it. Younger brothers and sisters that are able to train with each other at 4-9 years can be such a good thing because they feel comfortable with each other, they are not looking for someone familiar when they are on the mat which can help ease them into training with new faces as they continue on with their Martial Arts. It can also make it easier for them to just try it out if they have someone there with them, because parents who have multiple children will always hear “I’ll do it if she/he does it” or “Why doesn’t she/he do it too”. It can also help in their relationship as siblings, it will teach them to respect each other and learn how to deal with each other.
Training with Family members can help strengthen a bond that only comes with family. If you have a family member that even might seem curious ask them if they want to train with you, you might be surprised by the answer.
