Self-Defense Training in Redondo Beach
When is it your time to make the right move to solve a problem that will affect you? With the amount of information that one can observe and take in each day, I read about how a person or a group of people stood still and did nothing during moments of violence. Given that you have the awareness to see a problem from happening, will you be able to step forward or step back to prevent disaster from occurring? Whatever the act is before, during or after, what is your position?
Sometimes your actions we need to be your voice. In a simple scenario when a person (you respect or not) is being disrespect to you, will you be able to call attention to this problem with confidence in your tone? We are problem solvers of many little battles moment-to-moment. We can come across this very common dilemma between yourself and another.
Your actions can be passive and you will think to let disrespectful comments slide. And I just want you to know your strategy is not wrong because we are playing in a hypothetical point-of-view. So we continue in your response to comments in your face that are disrespectful, your action could be aggressive. And as before, who is to tell you that this response was incorrect? You will have to find the answer in the person’s next actions towards you.
With both actions addressed so far of being passive or aggressive, you also have the assertive response to counter a disrespectful tone or comment give towards you. Do you like this strategy regardless of the situation? You are being disrespected or see an act of wrong doing, is it not the right thing, the good thing and the righteous thing to do to take the assertive action in correcting a problem? Your solutions will affect you.
