I wanted to take this opportunity to sing praises for our MMA program at Elite Training Center. Our fighters put a lot of hard work in. Some train in BJJ, others in Krav Maga and all train in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Often MMA fighters carry a reputation of being arrogant or only out for themselves. I disagree with this entirely.
Anyone would be hard pressed to point out any of our fighters who don’t put the additional work in on the mat to teach and share their wealth of knowledge with Elite‘s students. Elite Training Center’s MMA program consists of top notch athletes, but more importantly great people. Elite’s programs across the board are run by educated, smart, caring people with every intention of giving back to the members of the school and their fellow teammates. I for one am proud to affiliate myself with these fine individuals as I too learn so much daily from each of them.
With the popularity of MMA still on the rise, it can easily be utilized and cross trained to make any program you participate in flourish. We don’t just expect you to survive in any combative situation, but also thrive.
From a self defense perspective understand that many people, bad and good alike are able to train in these classes. What does that mean for the Krav Maga practitioner? Remember Krav Maga isn’t about going toe to toe with someone. Your goal is to escape. But to understand the combative process from standing to the ground will make you that much more successful overall.
Take a chance sometime and get involved with more than 1 or 2 systems at Elite. I guarantee your skill set will improve greatly!
