Krav Maga Program
Last Saturday was another fantastic promotion/test day for the Krav Maga program! There were times where it got tough, but everyone pushed themselves and each other and made it through. It was inspiring to watch! We were also lucky enough to have a portion of the test take place in the sand at Redondo Beach…it was a gorgeous day! Only in Southern California’s South Bay is there a chance to hit the beach in February!
As a newer instructor in the basic Krav Maga program, this group of yellow-to-orange belt promoters were the first group that I’ve really seen move through the entire basic Krav Maga program from day 1. I was so happy to see not only fantastic technique, but excellent control, focus, and confidence…everyone has come so far, and although I knew they would do awesome, I was still impressed..!!
Speaking of impressed, it was obvious that the orange and green belt testers had put in tons of work. Technique was crisp and clean, and they really represented the advanced Krav Maga program and curriculum very well. Congratulations, everyone!! The students who tested into the Master’s Path Krav Maga program were asked to perform techniques such as gun disarms smoothly and technically after hours of calisthenics, kickboxing, and sparring.
A huge thank you as well to everyone who came to support, from brand new students to the blue and brown belts who participated. Your positive attitudes and willingness to be on the mat to help your teammates achieve their goals speaks volumes for your character, and Elite is lucky to have such an amazing group of students…great people as well as martial artists! We had participants in their fifties as well as thirteen year olds from our youth krav maga program on the mat as well. Fantastic job, fantastic day!
