Law Enforcement Training & Military Classes

LOTAR® Close Quarter Combat (CQC)

Customized to the needs of law enforcement and military personnel, the LOTAR® counter-terrorism system at Elite Training Center is effective and efficient. It’s an all-inclusive defensive tactics system that uses the most battle-tested close-quarter combat defensive techniques of today’s special force units in the United States and other countries. These techniques are integrated into the techniques of Krav Maga and Kapap, two of the foundations of Elite Training Center. Still, they are expanded to encompass training for police, military, security, and other personnel who need to control situations as part of their job.

Training for law enforcement, military and security personnel is a lifetime commitment. These conditions requires special knowledge, and Elite Training Center gives you the opportunity expand our core systems for personal safety or the completion of your duties on the job.

LOTAR’s origins were born in Israel’s most elite counter-terror unit, and it has been tested and refined for maximum performance and efficiency under actual levels of resistance. This complete combat system provides a wide spectrum of lethal and non-lethal tactical responses. LOTAR enables the operator to dominate in a high-speed, all-out aggressive environment while in full battle gear. The emphasis is on “neutralizing a threat quickly, most simply and instinctively possible”, by utilizing empty hands or firearms or improvising weapons.

Krav Combative for Law Enforcement and Military

We feature a weekly Krav Combative class taught by Law Enforcement personnel to ensure that it is geared towards Use of Force issues that Law Enforcement Officers encounter daily. This class is high-speed, with or without the officer’s work rig to function within the parameters set by uniforms and special units’ gear. The LOTAR system readily permits rapid escalation and de-escalation of force within every level concerning the resistance encountered. It is only open to law enforcement, military and security personnel, or those working to become system instructors.

Each technique or skill set has been proven under the pressure of true combat and “real-life” terrorist situations. These techniques and skills have proven to be effective daily in battle and on assignments. In response to the changing combat environment, the LOTAR System is continually modified and refined to fit the threats of the current day. Still, there are a core set of principles and techniques that we always focus on:

  • Complete weapons integration
  • Operational fitness and awareness
  • Combat flow and positioning
  • Carry procedures
  • Weapons retention
  • Weapons cover
  • Striking with a weapon

Seminars

We also offer on-site and off-site seminars for a variety of scenarios, including:

  • Anti-terrorism training
  • Advanced weapons training
  • Hostage rescue
  • Protective services
  • Aircraft and bus interdiction
  • Sniper and counter-sniper training
  • Advanced patrol training

Military and Law Enforcement / Close Quarter Combat (CQC) Connection

At Elite Training Center, our teachings are derived from the original LOTAR/Kapap system but are not restricted to art; this is because we believe for art to be the most effective, it must continue to evolve. Our system is the most effective for Law Enforcement and the military.

Experience In The Field

Chief instructor, Brian Rauchbach, has over 15 years of operational experience in the professional security-contracting arena. While working in many international theaters of operation, Mr. Rauchbach worked with and was trained by many of the top operators from the most elite Counter Terror units in the world. While maintaining the LOTAR/Kapap system as its foundation, Mr. Rauchbach has also integrated the many different Close Quarter Combat styles that he utilized during this time, adding to the system’s effectiveness.

Other instructors have been involved in international personal protection, local law enforcement, Army Rangers, U.S. Navy SEALS, and other U.S. special operations groups. Collaborating, they have modified and enhanced the defensive tactics within the LOTAR system to be the most useful and effective within the market now. The system is truly designed for real-world self-defense and security-based operations.

Battle Tested Close Quarter Combat (CQC) For Military

LOTAR has repeatedly been tested by people who go to war for a living, whether as Special Forces soldiers, law enforcement officers, or a civilian. It works for them, and we know it will work for you.

LOTAR is an all-inclusive defensive tactics system that uses the most battle-tested close-quarter combat defensive techniques of today’s special force units in the United States and other countries. These techniques are integrated into the techniques of Krav Maga and Kapap, which are the foundation of our system.

Military and Law Enforcement Training

LOTAR is a complete combat system that offers operators a wide spectrum of tactical responses, both lethal and non-lethal. LOTAR enables the operator to dominate in a high-speed all-out aggressive environment while in full battle gear. The emphasis is on “neutralizing a threat quickly, most simply and instinctively possible”.

Each technique or skill set has been proven under the pressure of true combat and “real-life” terrorist situations. These techniques and skills have proven to be effective in battle daily. In response to the combat-changing environment, the LOTAR System is continually changed and refined to fit the threats of the current day.

LOTAR includes all of the various fighting techniques required by a soldier on the battlefield against terrorism. Israeli soldiers are trained in hand-to-hand combat, firearms fighting, and edged weapons and run obstacle courses designed to toughen them physically and mentally.

The original Israeli elite units, which remain the prototype for all Special Forces to this day, developed the martial art of Kapap – face-to-face combat. Those instructors involved with Kapap since its inception (at the Israeli Special Forces) are Chaim Peer, Ahron Levi, Orde Wingate, and others who have chosen to remain anonymous. Kapap evolved into the modern-day martial art Lochama Zeira (Micro Combat), which subsequently developed into the concept of LOTAR.

Modern LOTAR / Kapap originated in Israeli under the guidance of such men as Moni Aizik, Lt. Colonel Chaim Peer, and Major Avi Nardia. When brought to the United States by Avi Nardia and Brian Rauchbach, it was intended to bring both the self-defense and operational close-quarter combat techniques of the most elite counter-terror units in Israeli (the YAMAM) to the military, law enforcement, and civilian populations of the United States.

Once the system was introduced to the civilian and law enforcement markets of the United States, the LOTAR system was enhanced and modified by adding other Close Quarter Combat techniques from other operational units from around the world, such as the; SAS, GIGN, and US Navy Seals.

LOTAR uses any available weapon or improvises one, considering the environmental conditions: urban/rural, visibility, terrain, weather, and target distance.

LOTAR has been created around the modern-day martial art application, continually modified to address the ever-changing world and the need for new and evolved techniques. This difference may seem slight, but in reality, is the difference between life and death or surviving an attack or not.
