HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOURS!
As we end another awesome year of progress, growth and change through the Martial Arts, we’d like to finish by expressing our gratitude and appreciation to you and your family for
your energy, support and on-going encouragement.
Your eagerness and desire to learn and grow through the Martial Arts adds fuel to our fire.
Your loyalty and support is very much appreciated and we are honored
to have you as part of our Elite Family.
As we bow, we express a mutual respect and appreciation.
We’ve always believed Martial Arts begins and ends with respect.
Which is just one of the many reasons why relationships we develop
in the Academy remain so strong and continue to last so long.
Since our humble beginnings back in 2003 it’s been our desire to develop and maintain excellent long term win-win relationships with our students and the communities we serve.
As we end another great year together, it’s a great time to look back at many victories and magical moments we’ve shared. As well as some of the obstacles we’ve overcome together, once again proving the power of “Always Team Up…Never Give Up!”
It is our sincere hope that you have enjoyed this past year as much as we have.
We wish you a Safe and Happy Holiday Season.
WE’RE EAGER TO HELP MAKE 2010 YOUR BEST!

Victory List 2009
We are in the final countdown for 2009.
An excellent time to reflect on your achievements for the year. Drafting a Victory List is an exciting and powerful exercise that encourages you to relive your magical moments and greatest victories from the year.
How have you grown and improved?
What have you achieved? What have you learned?
How has your Martial Arts and fitness improved?
Where have you seen the greatest gains personally and professionally?
Some victories are obvious and will quickly come to your mind. Victories like a belt promotion, a special award, a job promotion, a new car or a new house.
Some are hidden to outside world, that doesn’t make them less important. In fact, often these hidden victories are often the most important.
Victories like handling obstacles in a calmer and more proactive manner. Maybe your confidence has improved and you’re willingness to take on new challenges.
Maybe you’ve lost weight or improved your health habits.
Most people find it easier to see the setbacks, the problems or challenges. All of us are bound to experience setbacks and made mistakes. This is especially true for aggressive achievers that are making forward progress in life.
Whatever you recognize and reward…you’ll get more of.
Focus on the positives and you get more positives…focus on the negatives and you get more negatives. The choice is yours.
BLACK BELT CHAMPIONS are trained to search for the good and use it
as a building tool for future growth and achievement. Feed the proper fuel to your fire and you’ll intensify the desire to succeed with all your goals in life.
Suggested Action: Take a few minutes to think and ink your magical moments and memorable Victories for the Year 2009.
Health & Fitness Tip}>Finish with Victory!
As we end the year and end our series of Health & Fitness Tips for 2009, it’s time to finish with Victory. If you end each day on a positive and aim your thoughts and emotions on the victories of the day, you’ll rest better and recover much faster.
Part of keeping yourself in top physical shape year round, is keeping your mind focused on positive thoughts, actions and results. When you remind yourself of the positive, victorious things that have happened in your day, you’re likely to relax more and feel better about your progress in life.
Even when you have a challenging day and there seems to be more bad than good and more negatives than positives, there was still some good and there was still a lot of positives.
CHAMPIONS train themselves to FOCUS on the POSITIVES.
This allows you to FINISH each day with VICTORY!

Habit of Finishing Strong!
You often hear in class…”Last set – Best Set!”
Or you may hear…
“Last Round – Best Round!”
Both used to anchor the mind set and the Habit of Finishing Strong.
Experts in Peak Performance remind us that high levels of success and achievement in any endeavor is 20% mechanics and 80% psychological.
Simply meaning that once you’ve mastered the fundamental skills you
need to succeed, you’ve got to invest daily in psyching yourself up to
take massive action. That’s where the Habit of Finishing Strong comes in.
Making sure that you end each day in a Kick Butt way.
Think opposites, imagine being in the habit of finishing weak.
Everyday you finished your day in a lazy, low or no results way. Aiming
for just Okay and accepting mediocrity from yourself by performing way
below your true potential.
Would that excite you?
Would that be the way to bring excellence into your life? NOT!
By conditioning yourself with the Habit of Finishing Strong to each day, week, month and year…you add one more excellent habit to your life.
As the end of the year grows closer…it’s a great habit to visit and an excellent mind set to apply to the remaining days and weeks of 2009.
Good luck and Finish Strong!
Health & Fitness Tip: Safe…Fit & Focused!
Tied in with the habit of finishing strong, our health and fitness tip for the last few weeks of 2009, is to finish your year safe, fit and focused.
During the Holiday Season, many people tend to overdo their partying, eating, drinking and spending. The average person gains over 10 lbs. during this wonderful time of year.
You can bet that isn’t 10 lbs. of lean muscle mass
Our encouragement and hope for you and all of our students, is that you stay safe from the dangers of drunk drivers and/or criminal elements that do occur during this time of year.
Along with staying fit and focused on enjoying the Holidays with a bit of self control in your fun factor and your spending habits as well. It’s such a great time of year and we wish you and your family the best ever.

HABIT of NO EXCUSES!
When it comes to our next habit of excellence, there are two types of people. Those who do what they say and make NO EXCUSES and those who have become experts at making EXCUSES.
NO EXCUSES is really about accepting 100% responsibility for your commitments and making no excuses about what you do or don’t do in your pursuit of excellence.
One way to guarantee acceleration of your success in life is to accept 100% responsibility for your life and your attitude, behavior and character.
…………………………………………………………………………………………
“There are thousands of excuses for every failure, but never a good reason.” – Mark Twain
…………………………………………………………………………………………
Making and accepting excuses is an enemy of success and achievement.
Imagine living in a world where NO EXCUSES was the law.
Think how much more everyone would accomplish.
Making excuses has been called a “Personality Defect” and can be a very damaging disease that can hold you back from reaching your full potential.
Here is your challenge to live life as the NO EXCUSES Black Belt Champion you are capable of becoming…
Adopt a NO EXCUSES POLICY in your life. The next time you catch yourself about to make an excuse…repeat the following quote 10x
“ If I can’t I must…if I must I will!

HEALTH & FITNESS TIP: Believe in Yourself!
In coaching and developing hundreds Champions, I’ve seen many times that most people are only achieving a small fraction of their true potential. In their Martial Arts and fitness, as well as their lives.
As a Coach, I often see that one of the key reasons why someone gives up on a goal or themselves, is because they don’t believe enough in their own potential. I have witnessed it many times in many different areas, whether it’s an advanced student that needs a little extra coaching to reach their run time, or helping someone lose a few unwanted and unhealthy pounds.
I’ve even seen it coaching confident Martial Artists, when it comes to applying the same level of confidence and courage to their business and career goals.
My encouragement for anyone that wants or accepts my advice, is to believe in themselves at a deeper level. You and I were not brought into this world to be losers or to accept the cards we are dealt each day.
The Holidays Season is here !!!!!
and it’s time to finish the year with Victory.
I hope you’ll join me in these final few weeks of the year, with a strong emphasis on finishing the year in top physical and mental shape, and to use these final few weeks as preparation for making 2010 even better.
The past year has brought us many great gifts and many great lessons.
I am grateful for the many friends and associates I’ve made through the Martial Arts and I’m extremely grateful for the wonderful life that I truly enjoy with my family and friends.
How did I get so lucky?
I wish you and your family the best Holiday Season ever!
Respectfully,
Peofessor
